In the U.S., a real movement began to promote healthy eating. People paid attention not only to their diet, but the movement evolved into a highly sophisticated epicurean culture. Elegant, expensive stores opened, selling utensils, dishes, tableware, etc. Cooking became a hobby practiced even by high society men and women. I insist that there is beauty and danger in these subjects, and I am inspired by the visual possibilities that the notions of food have to offer.
