In Greece, where my husband received an assignment for an engineering project, we spent three months in a hotel in Vouliagmeni, a small seaside town close to Athens. Being in the same natural surroundings where the inhabitants lived thousands of years ago fired up my imagination as I went back in time. At the beach, I was doing sketches which, upon return home to my studio, I could use and apply to larger paintings on canvases.
